New Junior Cycle
In 2012 the Department of Education & Skills published A Framework for Junior Cycle. Our new Junior Certificate curriculum is based on this framework and offers a broad range of subjects to cater for the varying aptitudes and talents of our students. The Curriculum is designed to develop the six Key Skills, Managing Myself, Staying Well, Communicating, Being Creative, Managing Information and Thinking and Working with Others and incorporates the 24 Statements of Learning outlined in the Framework document. Students will take nine subjects for assessment purposes. In addition, students may also partake in other non-examination subjects and short courses.
