On May 18th, all 1st Year students enjoyed our first Mathletes event, a cross-curricular Numeracy Quiz. Coláiste Mhuire is actively promoting Numeracy as part of our School Improvement Plan. Transition Year students in conjunction with Numeracy Coordinator Ms Niamh Hogan, collected questions from every subject for the quiz. All year 1st year students were asked to note the Numeracy moments in their subjects. The quiz provided an opportunity for students to see how Maths permeates so many disciplines and that Maths is fun!
