Languages Day 2022
This week 1st year, 2nd year and TY French and German students celebrated European Day of Languages. This day aims to promote awareness among students about the importance of language learning and protecting the linguistic heritage. The celebrations began with a breakfast morning which included; hot chocolate, pastries, face painting, traditional French and German costumes and a cultural quiz with lots of prizes! TY language students held an information stall which highlighted the many advantages of learning a foreign language.
TinPot Radio
Coláiste Mhuire Transition Year students took part in a TinPot Radio production workshop, where the scripting and production of radio were explored. Many thanks to Pete and Frank from TinPot Radio Productions.
Sam Maguire
Coláiste Mhuire sixth year students took a few minutes from their studies to spend some time with Sam during the preparations for our Recent Primary School Blitz.
1st Year Hurling Blitz
Coláiste Mhuire 1st Year Hurling team pictured at the 1st Year Hurling Blitz with Limerick County star Gearóid Hegarty. Well done to Mr. Carroll and all involved. The Fixtures and Scores were as follows: CMA 1-0 Desmond 5-4 CMA 1-2 Glenstal 1-5 CMA 1-3 Hazelwood (B) 3-5. Player of the Tournament was Todd O Shaughnessy who scored 1-2.
Under 16.5 Hurling
Munster U16.5 D hurling first round against Ennistymon CBS on Wed 5th October in Lahinch GAA. Unfortunately, it was not our day with weather conditions being very difficult. Cian Fitzgibbon was Coláiste Mhuire’s man of the match.
Senior Boys Basket Ball
Coláiste Mhuire were visited by Scoil Pól Kilfinane as part of the Senior Boys Basketball League, on this occasion Coláiste Mhuire were successful, well done to all involved.
TY Curraghchase Walk
TY students completed a 7.5km walk in Curraghchase as part of their Gaisce Adventure Journey training programme with Ms. Elligott and Ms. Trant.
