TY Greenway Cycling.
Coláiste Mhuire Askeaton TY students had a fantastic morning on Friday 9th as they completed 23km from Rathkeale to Barna along the Greenway. Well done to all involved in this wonderful use of a great facility provided by Limerick County Council.
6th Year Geography Field Trip
On Monday the 12th, 6th year Geography students completed the physical component of their field study at Ballybunion Beach in the company of Ms Nolan and Ms Hogan. The students will now carry out an analysis of their findings to complete their report as part of their Leaving Certificate final grade.
5th Year Tennis
5th Year Coláiste Mhuire Askeaton students exploring the game of tennis while also learning about the benefits of creating school-club-community links. A huge thank you to the Askeaton Tennis club for facilitating our PE programme in their fantastic facility.
TY Retreat
The retreat was facilitated by An Tobar Nua and consisted of a mix of games and talks on wellbeing and faith. The talks focused on the theme of "unlocking potential ", where participants looked at areas that could help them to unlock potential, be that self-care, purpose and being able to persevere. There was also a part of the day given for a reflective time.
1st Year Home Economics
First year students enjoying their first cookery class. The cupcakes they made using the all-in-one method. The results were tasted and evaluated at the end, and it was declared by all that they were delicious.
Blitz Launch
On the morning of Friday 16th of September, Principal Mr. Heaphy, TY Coaching Tutor Ms. Trant and Limerick GDA Dave O Dea along with the TY Coaching Class launched the Coláiste Mhuire Askeaton Primary School GAA blitz 2022. Excitement is building for the Blitz which will be on Thursday September 29th when Coláiste Mhuire will welcome 13 local Primary Schools on the day and we are looking forward to seeing you all 🏐
